Along the coast of Ecuador, north of the bustling shopping and nightlife of Salinas and south of the bohemian surfing capital of Montanita, tucked off the main coastal highway, is the charming beach town of Ayangue. Because the bay is protected on three sides, the beach is calm, with no currents and warm water, making it kid- and family-friendly. Not far from Ayangue is Isla de la Plata, known as Ecuador's “poor man's Galapagos,” bringing eco-tourists from around the world to charter boat tours from Ayangue. During whale migration season, vessels are busy taking tourists on whale-watching expeditions. This is the perfect place to create a family vacation spot, or begin a business in the eco-tourism industry. Located just 200 meters from the sea, is this 77,500 square foot lot that currently consists of three ecological cabins, all with ocean views, a covered outdoor kitchen with grill and clay-oven, and covered camping areas.
